Does IconStyler move or delete any of my files?
Never. IconStyler only changes the icon shown for a folder, file type, drive or system item. Your folders, files and everything inside them stay exactly where they are. Resetting an icon just puts the default picture back.
Windows SmartScreen or my antivirus flagged it on first run. Is that safe?
Yes, that is expected. IconStyler is a new app from a small independent studio, so it is not yet recognised by Microsoft's reputation system. Click More info, then Run anyway, and you are set. The warning fades as more people download it.
What if I don't like a change?
Easy. Every icon can be reset individually, or you can hit Restore All to send everything back to the Windows default in one click.
Will my icons survive a Windows update or a new PC?
Use Backup and restore. It saves all your profiles, applied icons and settings into a single file. Restore it after a Windows reset or on a brand new machine.
Is Pro really a one-time purchase?
Yes. Pro is a one-time payment of $19.99 that unlocks unlimited profiles, all icon categories, and every update within IconStyler 1.x. No subscription.
Which versions of Windows are supported?
IconStyler is built for Windows 10 and Windows 11 right now. Support for more configurations is on the roadmap.
Icons Stuck or Acting Up?
Open Settings, go to Troubleshoot and Restore, and use Restore All to return to Windows defaults. It is safe and takes seconds.
